I have a program that runs Java 6.25 that runs our Brocade switch. The software will not run on Java 7.x versions. So we have to keep the older version;
I have Windows 7 running and the system was running the older java well. I installed the updates and and it installed IE 11 as well. After it all completed and rebooted, I ran the Brocade program again but this time it failed. It keeps popping up the java windows to download the Java. I do not want to upgrade the java. Download ethernet controller driver win 7. I installed Opera, Firefox, and Chrome to check if it might have to do with the issue but it would get the same results as IE 11.
I uninstalled the IE 11 from system and now the Brocade system works only in IE 11; Opera, Firefox and Chrome still do not work with the Brocade. I am thinking that it could be a registry setting that affected the other browser not to to work with the Brocade system; it might have only fixed the IE setting when I uninstalled the IE 11.
